July 14, 2000

STONY BROOK, NY- - Jennings, who scored more than 2,000 points in his career at St. John's Prep, played at St. Joseph's (PA) in the Atlantic-10 for the last two seasons. The 6-2 guard earned the starting point guard position in his first season at St. Joe's where he started 28 of 29 games. He averaged 6.3 points per game as a freshman, finishing second on the team in asists and fifth in the Atlantic-10 in assist-to-turnover ratio. Last season, he started 24 games for the Hawks.

Middleton comes to Stony Brook after one year at Manhattan. The 6-5 guard/forward appeared in 20 games for the Jaspers last season, starting one. He averaged 2.2 points per game, connecting on 18-of-38 shots from the floor.

Macarchuk is excited to have both players coming to Stony Brook. "Getting a player of Larry Jennings caliber means so much to our program not only in terms of his basketball ability but also because it is important that we get good players from the New York City area," he explained. "Aeneas is a very good athlete who will be a tremendous addition to our team because he gives us versatility at the perimeter postions."

Both players will sit out the 2000-01 season due to NCAA Division I transfer rules.
