Stony Brook, N.Y. - Freshman Alison Porteus was named Athlete of the Week for Nov. 12-18.

In two dual meets last week, Portues set two new school records and also helped the 400 medley relay team set a new school record.

Porteus bettered her own school-record time in the 200 breast, winning the event against Wagner in 2:27.69. She helped the 400 medley relay team finish in 4:04.62, bettering the mark they set in the season opener.

Porteus continued to impress against Providence on Saturday, winning the 100 breast with a school-record time of 1:15.49. The 400 medley team preserved its undefeated record against the Friars, winning the event for the third straight meet.
