Swimming And Diving Wins Last Dual Meet Over Fairfield

Fairfield, Conn. - The men's and women's swimming and diving teams closed out their regular season with wins over Fairfield on Saturday afternoon. The men's team won by a score of 139-89, while the women defeated Fairfield 136-96. For the women, Sarah Doret, Kristi Schubert and Laura Thorson led the way, each winning two events. Doret won the 800 free (10:01.33) and the 200 breast (2:54.17), while Thorson won the 50 free (28.90) and the 100 free (1:04.15). Schubert won both the one- and three-meter diving events. For the men, it was Igor Voloshin leading the way with two first-place finishes apiece. Voloshin captured the 200 IM (2:22.31) and the 200 breast (2:35.78). The Stags remain winless on the year with the loss. The Seawolves return to the pool when they compete at the METS Championships Feb. 16-18.
