The Stony Brook volleyball team rolled to a 3-0 win over Maine on Friday night by the scores of 30-27, 30-17 and 30-28. The win improved the Seawolves to 12-9 overall, 3-1 in conference play.
The Seawolves were up 27-19 in the first game before the Black Bears closed to 29-26, however Stony Brook took the game. In the second game, Stony Brook pulled away in the middle of the game and were able to win 30-17. In the third game, Maine had the lead at 21-17 but SBU rallied for the win.
Rachel Goldsmith led the way for the Seawolves with 21 kills and 15 digs. Julie Zub added 36 assists.
The Seawolves are back in action on Saturday night when they face New Hampshire at 7 p.m.
