Stony Brook, N.Y. - Freshman Mike Popoko earns Stony Brook Athlete of the Week honors, playing well in both games this week and leading the men's basketball team to win a win over Albany.

Against Albany on Wednesday, Popoko led the Seawolves to 65-61 overtime win, scoring 12 points and grabbing a team-high 11 rebounds to post the first double-double for Stony Brook this season.

Against Binghamton on Sunday, he scored a team-high 14 points and grabbed four rebounds in a 80-71 loss to the Bearcats.
