Stony Brook, N.Y. - Hayley Durham earns Stony Brook Athlete of the Week honors after an outstanding week at the plate, leading the softball team to six straight wins last week.

Durham was unstoppable at the plate, batting .688 (11-for-16) with three home runs, nine RBI and six runs.

To open the week, the sophomore went 5-for-6 with a pair of two-run home runs, six RBI and three runs in a double header sweep of St. Francis (N.Y.). She followed up that performance going 3-for-4 with two RBI in a pair of wins over Siena and 3-for-6 with three runs and an RBI in a sweep of Iona. For the season, Durham is second on the team with a .394 batting average, 28 hits, 17 RBI, 15 runs and five home runs.
