The Stony Brook women's swimming and diving team was selected by the College Swimming Coaches Association as an Academic All-American Team for the fall of 2003. The Seawolves were recognized for an outstanding 3.05 cumulative team GPA and earned national academic honors for the first time in school history.
Coach Dave Alexander's squad excelled in the pool as well as the classroom, as Stony Brook women's swimming and diving posted its first winning record since 1997-98, finishing at 8-7 on the season. An amazing 17 records were broken during the course of the year, 10 of which came at the America East Championships.
