Women's Soccer Battles Fordham To 1-1 Tie

Stony Brook, N.Y. - The Seawolves battled Fordham to a 1-1 tie at a rain drenched LaValle Stadium in double overtime. Stony Brook is now 3-4-3, while Fordham's record moved to 5-1-2.

Danielle Lewis put Stony Brook on the board at the 18:42 mark on an assist from Victoria Feliciano. It was Lewis' second goal in as many games and gave the Seawolves a 1-0 lead at the break.

In the second half, a corner kick by Fordham's Beth Purcell slipped by the Seawolves' defense and curled into the net to knot the game at 1-1. It remained 1-1 throughout the rest of regulation and both overtime periods.

Stony Brook is back in action again Sunday at Albany at 1:00 p.m.
