Stony Brook, N.Y. -
Chris Scarpati picks up Stony Brook Athlete of the Week honors after helping to lead the men's soccer team back from a 2-0 deficit in a 2-2 double overtime tie with Hartford on Saturday.
With SB trailing 2-0 late in the first half, Scarpati managed a shot off a corner kick that was deflected into the goal by a Hartford player. He added his second goal of the contest 12 minutes into the second half, converting on a penalty kick to knot the game at two.
For his efforts, he was also named the America East co-Player of the Week. It was the first multi-goal game in his career.
