The Stony Brook men's soccer team's NCAA College Cup game versus Connecticut on Tuesday, November 22, has been postponed due to the weather and unplayable field conditions. The game has been rescheduled for Wednesday, November 23 at 12 p.m. The fan bus scheduled to attend today's game is cancelled and will not be rescheduled for tomorrow.
America East Champion Stony Brook (13-4-4) faces BIG EAST Champion Connecticut (15-3-1) in a second round game. The winner of the game will advance to the third round to face the winner of the ninth-seeded Akron/West Virginia contest on November 26 or 27.
SB, which is playing in the NCAA Tournament for the first time in program history, earned the first NCAA win in any sport in school history when the Seawolves topped Yale 2-1 in the first round on Friday night. The eighth-seeded Huskies earned a first round bye in after winning the Big East tournament for the second straight year.
