The Stony Brook Athletic Department and University President Dr. Shirley Strum Kenny will be hosting Faculty/Staff Day at the Stony Brook Sports Complex on Saturday, February 19, when the men's basketball team takes on Binghamton at 4 p.m. All SB faculty and staff members have the opportunity to receive two free tickets as part of a day of entertainment that includes a halftime performance by the world renowned ZOOperstars.
WHEN: Saturday, February 19
TIME: 4:00 p.m.
ATTIRE: Be proud and wear RED
WHAT: As part of Faculty and Staff Day, each Stony Brook employee will receive two free tickets to the game with proper University identification. Tickets can be picked up at the Seawolves ticket office (Monday through Friday 11:00 am - 3:00 pm at the Indoor Sports Complex or come the day of the game.
Along with the intensity of a match-up with an instate rival, the game will be televised live nationally, allowing the opportunity to showcase Stony Brook University on a grander scale, both on the court and in the crowd with fan support.
In addition, the ZOOperstars, a group of mascots that combine animals with your favorite professional athletes will perform at half-time and throughout the game. These larger than life entertainers with names like Derek Cheetah, Roger Clamens, Mackeral Jordan and Tiger Woodschuck, dance, flip, bounce and shake for the crowd and will be sure to entertain as the Seawolves battle Binghamton.
Get there early to hear a rendition of the National Anthem performed by Jeanette Reynolds, the Assistant to President Kenny.
In addition to the entertainment of the afternoon, the Athletic Department will donate a percentage of all concession sales to Habitat for Humanity in support of their goodwill efforts.
