Stony Brook, N.Y. - Sarah Hoffman was named the America East Pitcher of the Week in softball, the conference announced on Monday afternoon. Hoffman continued her outstanding play on the mound, winning each of her four starts last week to extend her winning streak to eight games while posting a 0.78 ERA.

She picked up a pair of shutouts versus conference opponents Vermont and Binghamton, while allowing just three runs and three walks while striking out 20 in 27.0 innings of work to move to 8-3 on the season.

Her best performance of the week came against the Catamounts, as Hoffman allowed just four hits to pick up her first shutout of the season.
