Stony Brook, N.Y. -
Senior defenseman Kyle Pearl has been selected to participate in the 64th annual North/South College Lacrosse All-Star game held on June 11th at the Stadium Complex on the campus of Cortland State. Pearl was also invited to tryout for the U.S. World Team from June 13-16 at the University of Maryland-Baltimore County.
Pearl becomes the ninth player in Stony Brook history to participate in the annual Division I all-star game as a member of the North squad and the first defenseman selected in school history. The four-time all-conference pick finished off his Stony Brook career with his third straight America East first-team honor this spring. He received preseason honorable mention All-America recognition in February.
Pearl will join Stony Brook assistant coach Kevin Cassese at the U.S. World Team tryouts in Maryland. They will be among 120 players invited to tryout for the 2006 United States Team. It will be held June 13-16 at the University of Maryland-Baltimore County, and 23 players will be selected to represent the U.S. at the International Lacrosse Federation World Championships in July of 2006 in London, Ontario, Canada.
