The women's tennis team competed in the Big Green Invitational over the weekend hosted by Dartmouth. After rain delayed play on the opening day, the Seawolves concluded play at the tournament on Monday.
In the "A" consolation bracket, Sandy Wijeratne fell to M.B. Winingham of Dartmouth, 7-5, 6-3, and Paola Rodolfi was bested by L. Winingham of Dartmouth, 6-0, 6-7, 11-9.
In the "B" consolations, Victoria Vovsha cruised past Roman of Long Island University, 6-1, 6-1, before falling to Dragonova of Boston University, 4-6, 6-3, 10-6. Erica Federgreen reached the semifinals of the draw after she defeated Hosotsuji of Siena, 6-0, 6-0, but fell to Caplan of Dartmouth, 6-2, 6-2. Caitlin Crowley lost in the first round of the consolations to Baretta of Rhode Island, 6-1, 6-0.
