Stony Brook Wraps Up Three-Game Road Swing at Penn State
The Stony Brook men's basketball team opens up the 2006-07 slate with three straight games on the road. The Seawolves wrap up their time road swing at Penn State on Friday evening.

Versus The Nittany Lions
Friday night's matchup marks the first time that these two schools have met on the hardwood.

About Penn State
Sophomore Jamelle Cornley has led the Nittany Lions to a 2-0 start this season. Cornley has recorded two double double thus far as Penn State has won two games at home. In the 63-46 win over Morehead State, Cornley had 17 points and 12 boards while against UNC-Greensboro, Cornely went for 21 points and 11 rebounds as Penn State won, 69-56. Ben Luber has chipped in with 12.5 points a game and added 5.5 rebounds.

20-20 Vision
• Ricky Lucas and Mitchell Beauford each pumped in 20 points in the Seawolves in the season-opening win against Colgate. Beauford, who scored 20 or more points in four games last season went 6-13 from the floor and iced the game going 8-9 from the free throw line. Lucas, in his first game for the Seawolves after transferring from George Washington, was 9-16 from the floor. In the second half, Lucas was unstoppable, shooting 6 of 8 from the floor.
• Lucas and Beauford once again went for 20 points apiece in the Seawolves loss to Cornell on Monday evening. For the second-straight game, Lucas netted 20 points and hit four three-pointers while Beauford tied a career-high in points with 24, 15 of which came in the first half.

Sharp Shooting
• The Beauford and Lucas combination have combined for 84 of the 137 points the Seawolves have scored this season, which is equal to 61%.
• Not afraid to shoot the ball, Lucas has shot the ball 32 times and Beauford has tossed up 33 shots this season. Of the 109 shots, the two have combined for 65, just over 60%.

Manu The Monster
Manu Neto emerged as a serious low-post threat against Cornell. The junior college transfer recorded 12 rebounds, including seven offensive boards. He added seven points and two blocks. He currently leads the team in rebounds with seven per game.

First Half Woes
The Seawolves have appeared to be a second half team and have struggled in the first half of their two games this season. In the first half the Seawolves have combined to shoot just 35%, while in the second half they have shot 56%.

Very Offensive
Where as last year the Seawolves ranked at the bottom of the league in offensive numbers, this year's squad has changed that. Currently, the Seawolves are first in the America East in free throw percentage and field goal percentage, and are second in scoring offense.
