Men's Basketball Drops Road Contest At Dartmouth, 71-50

HANOVER, N.H. (AP) -Leon Pattman scored 21 of his game-high 26 points in the second half as Dartmouth led the entire way in a 71-50 win over Stony Brook on Thursday.

Pattman finished 4-for-6 from outside the arc and 10-for-10 from the foul line and chipped in seven rebounds as Dartmouth (2-6) won its second in a row after dropping its first six games of the year.

Mike Popoko had nine points to lead Stony Brook (4-6), which had won its last three road games.

DeVon Mosley added 16 points on 5-of-6 shooting from 3-point range for Dartmouth while John Ball had a game-high 10 rebounds.

Dartmouth jumped out to a 10-2 lead and stretched it to 25-6 before a 9-2 Stony Brook run made it 27-15 at the half.

After Stony Brook closed within 13 on a Popoko 3-pointer near the midway point of the second half, Pattman was fouled on consecutive made 3-pointers and hit the foul shot both times to make it 50-29 with 9:30 remaining.
