Hofstra Tops Stony Brook, 73-57

STONY BROOK, N.Y. (AP) - Antoine Aguido scored 19 points to help Hofstra beat Stony Brook 73-57 on Tuesday night to extend its winning streak to five games.

Zygis Sesotkas added 16 points for the Pride (5-3), who held a 31-21 lead at halftime. Loren Stokes scored 14 points and Carlos Rivera added 13.

Ricky Lucas scored 18 points to lead the Seawolves (3-5).

Stony Brook jumped out to a 7-2 lead, but the Pride answered with a 18-2 run to take a 20-9 lead with 9:56 left in the first half. Aguido scored six points during the spurt.

Sesotkas hit a pair of 3-pointers as Hofstra opened the second half with a 11-2 run to build the lead to 42-23 at 14:40. Stony Brook never got closer than 10 points the rest of the way.
