New Orleans, La. - Chris DiBiaso and Andres Perez each homered, but it wasn't enough as the Stony Brook baseball team was swept by New Orleans, 8-5 . The loss drops Stony Brook to 0-9 on the season and UNO improves to 10-8.

The Privateers had raced out to a 3-0 lead with solo runs in the first, third and fifth innings. Stony Brook tied the game in the seventh with three runs of their own. DiBiaso blasted a two-run homer to left, his first of the year, to get things going for the Seawolves. Jon Pasieka tied the game three batters later on a run-scoring groundout.

With the game tied at three, UNO grabbed the lead in the seventh, and added four insurance runs in the eighth. Perez closed the gap in the top of the ninth with his first homer of the year, a two-run shot, but the rally would fall short.

Matt Restivo got the nod for Stony Brook, striking out four and only allowing two earned runs in a no decision. Gary Novakowski (0-1) shouldered the loss, allowing four runs in 2.2 innings of work.

Ryan O'Shea (3-0) picked up the win for the Privateers, coming out of the pen to throw 2.2 innings of scoreless ball.
