The Stony Brook women's lacrosse team rallied from a 9-8 deficit as the Seawolves were victorious over Fairfield, 13-10. Amy Taylor and Kaitlin Leggio each scored four goals as the Seawolves improve to 2-1 on the season.
With Stony Brook down 9-8, Kaitlin Leggio scored a goal from a Carlee Buck assist to even the game at 9-9. Amy Taylor scored the go-ahead goal unassisted with 5:00 minutes to play in the game. The Seawolves would not look back as they outscored the home team 4-1 in the final five minutes of the contest.
Taylor and Leggio led the offensive charge for Stony Brook with four goals apiece. Taylor added two assists and Danielle Werner scored two in the Seawolves win.
Stony Brook returns to action when they host Siena on Saturday, March 11 at 4:00 P.M.
