The Stony Brook women's tennis team defeated America East foe Albany, 4-3, on Tuesday afternoon. With the win the Seawolves improve to 7-6 overall and 1-2 in America East play.
Stony Brook rallied to win two of three doubles matches to claim the point. Hana Chovanova teamed up with Sandy Wijeratne to win 8-3 at No. 1 doubles and Erica Federgreen and Victoria Vasile won 9-8 (7-4) at No. 2.
In singles, Wijeratne won at No. 2, 6-3, 6-2, Erica Federgreen outlasted her opponent at No. 3, 7-5, 7-6 (7-4) and Monica Myers clinched the match with a 7-5, 6-2 win at No. 4 singles.
The Seawolves return to action on Tuesday, April 18 when they host Quinnipiac at 2:30 P.M.
