The Stony Brook women's tennis team swept Queens College, 7-0, for its tenth win of the season and fourth in a row. In their final regular season match of the year, the Seawolves improve to 10-6 heading into the America East tournament this weekend.
The Seawolves swept all three doubles matches as they claimed the doubles point and kept the momentum as they won all six singles matches.
The duo of Hana Chovanova and Sandy Wijeratne cruised to an 8-1 win at No. 1 doubles, Erica Federgreen and Victoria Vasile rolled to the 8-1 win at No. 2 doubles and Monica Myers and Victoria Vovsha won at No. 3 doubles, 8-3.
Chovanova won at No. 1 singles, 6-1, 6-2, Wijeratne won at No. 2, 6-2, 6-0, Federgreen defeated her opponent at No. 3, 6-1, 6-3, Myers rolled at No. 4, 6-2, 6-0, Vovsha won at No. 5, 6-1, 6-3 and Arlene Barksdale completed the sweep with the 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 6.
The Seawolves return to action this weekend when they travel to Yale to compete in the America East tournament.
