Gary Novakowski threw a scoreless seventh to pick up his third save of the year and preserve the Stony Brook win. Kris Bakey (3-4) picked up the win, allowing only two runs in 5.2 innings of work.

Pennino finished Game 1 a perfect 3-for-3 with the homerun, Fortuna was 2-for-3 with an RBI and DiBiaso was 2-for-3 with a run scored and one driven in.

Rob Leonard led off the inning with a walk and advanced to third on a DiBiaso single. Witkowski reached on a fielder's choice to plate Leonard. With two-outs, Pennino reached on a throwing error that scored both Witkowski and Fortuna to give Stony Brook its first lead of the ballgame at 4-2.

Vermont pulled within one in the bottom of the seventh when Jim Chapman singled in Chris Fagan, but the Catamounts would manage only one more base runner in the contest as the Seawolves held on to the 4-3 win and complete the sweep.

Mike Errigo (3-3) struck out six and allowed three runs in six innings of work for the win. Nick Abel struck out the only batter he faced in the ninth to pick up his third save of the season. Sipp finished Game 2, 3-for-5 with a run scored and Pennino was 1-for-4 with an RBI.
