Stony Brook, N.Y. - Men's Basketball's Mitchell Beauford has been named Stony Brook Athlete of the Week.

The redshirt-junior guard scored 14 points and recorded a team-high three steals at Notre Dame.

The Stony Brook men's basketball team returns to action on Wednesday, January 3, when they face Vermont in the America East opener. Tip-off is scheduled for 7 pm.
