The Stony Brook women's tennis team topped Albany, 5-2, on Friday afternoon at University Courts. The Seawolves swept all three doubles matches and won four of six singles matches in the win. With the victory the Seawolves improve to 5-4 overall and 1-0 in America East play.
In doubles, the duo of Paola Rodolfi and Erica Federgreen topped Kern and Weitman of Albany, 8-7, at No. 1 doubles and Claudia Sanua and Brooke Flanigan beat Suarez and Hall at No. 2, 8-3, as the Seawolves claimed the doubles point.
In singles, Rodolfi was victorious at No. 1, 6-3, 7-6, Sanua won at No. 4, 6-3, 6-4 and Vovsha won at No. 5, 6-3, 6-3. Albany defaulted on No. 3 doubles and No. 6 singles as Stony Brook topped the Great Danes, 5-2.
