The Stony Brook women's tennis team won its 10th match of the year as the Seawovles topped Hartford, 7-0, on Saturday afternoon. With the win the Seawolves improve to 10-5 overall and 2-1 in America East play.
The Seawolves wasted no time claiming the doubles point as the duo of Paola Rodolfi and Erica Federgreen won at No. 1, 8-3, the team of Claudia Sanua and Brooke Flanigan won at No. 2, 8-0, and Victoria Vovsha and Caitlin Crowley won at No. 3, 8-0.
The Seawolves kept up their momentum as they did not drop a set as they swept all six singles lines. Rodolfi won at No. 1, 6-0, 6-1, Sanua won at No. 2, 6-3, 6-0, Federgreen won at No. 3, 6-0, 6-1, Flanigan won at No. 4, 6-0, 6-0, Vovsha won at No. 5, 6-0, 6-0 and Shaina Murugan completed the sweep with a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 6.
The women will close out their season with a match versus Binghamton on Sunday.
