Freshman Kelsey Sullivan (Hamilton, Va.) has been honored by the America East, being named the conference's Rookie of the Week. This is the second conference award Sullivan has won this year, having been named the Setter of the Week earlier this season.
Sullivan led the Seawolves to a 1-1 record last week while dishing out 11.1 assists per set. Sullivan had one of her most well-rounded weeks of the year, statistically, recording 1.29 kills/set, 1.14 digs/set and five total blocks. Behind Sullivan's accurate passing, the Seawolves led the conference in attack percentage this week, hitting at a .308 clip.
Stony Brook's next match will be this Friday when they travel to Baltimore, Md. to take on UMBC at 7:00 p.m.
