Stony Brook, N.Y. - Freshman Darcy Heuser (Centerville, Ohio) has been named the America East female Swimmer of the Week, according to a release from the conference office today. Heuser broke her second school-record of the season this past weekend while winning three events in the Seawolves' meet against UMass.

Heuser, who set a new record earlier this season in the 1,000-yard freestyle, etched her name in the record books again on Saturday, completing the 500-yard freestyle in 5:05.36, three seconds faster than the previous record. Heuser was also the first swimmer to touch in the 1,000-yard freestyle (10:38.83) and 200-yard freestyle (1:53.40). In addition to her individual efforts, she also swam the lead leg in the 200-yard freestyle relay in which the Seawolves finished second.

Stony Brook has two meets on its schedule this week, hosting Fordham on Wednesday night and then traveling to Maine on Saturday.
