Senior Harmonie Calinda (Huntington, N.Y.) and freshman Corinne Perry (Northport, N.Y.) were recognized by the America East Conference this week when they were named Player of the Week and Rookie of the Week, respectively. The two players led Stony Brook's volleyball team to a 3-2 victory over New Hampshire by posting a pair of double-doubles. This is the second time this season Calinda has earned this award while Perry is receiving the first conference honor of her career.
Calinda recorded 24 kills and 18 digs in the victory. She committed just five errors in 58 attacks for a .328 hitting percentage, while chipping in two aces, two assists and a block. The double-double was her 16th of the season.
Perry's double-double was the second of her career as she dished out 47 assists and had a career-high 12 digs. The setter did not commit an error in five attacks, recording two kills while also serving an ace.
