A day after being honored as the America East Men's Soccer Championship's Most Outstanding Player, redshirt freshman keeper Anthony Rogic (Boonton, N.J.) has been named the SimplexGrinnell Stony Brook Athlete of the Week.
Rogic was instrumental in the Seawolves' run to the title. He made two saves off penalty kicks in Stony Brook's 3-2 shootout win over Hartford in the semifinals and kept the game scoreless with a third penalty-kick save against UMBC in the finals. During the men's soccer team's seven-game unbeaten streak, Rogic has posted a 0.27 goals against average and a .935 save percentage.
