Stony Brook, N.Y. - Junior Casey Jacobs (Davie, Fla.) was named the SimplexGrinnell Athlete of the Week after pitching 11.1 innings of scoreless softball this weekend. Jacobs helped lead Stony Brook to a 3-2 record at the Florida Atlantic University "Miken" Classic by picking up a win and a save in four appearances.

Jacobs appeared in relief in both of the Seawolves games on Friday and then threw complete game shutout on Saturday against Central Michigan, allowing just four hits. On Sunday, she threw 1.1 scoreless innings to pick up her first save of the season.
