Cambridge, Mass. -
For the second-straight week senior Kelsi Fanelli (Audubon, N.J.) has been named the America East Player of the Week, according to a release from the conference office on Monday afternoon. Fanelli led Stony Brook to a 4-1 record last week, hitting a team-high .692.
The senior outfielder (9-for-13) knocked in six runs while scoring seven. Her five doubles and one home run gave her a slugging percentage of 1.308. In a doubleheader against Vermont on Sunday, she went 5-for-5 with five runs scored, three doubles and two RBI. This is the second-consecutive week Fanelli has hit .500 or better.
