Senior Harmonie Calinda (Huntington, N.Y.) has been named the America East Volleyball Player of the Week after leading the Seawolves with a 4.75 kills per set average this past week. Calinda extended her double-double streak to six consecutive matches, recording double digit kills and digs in each of the four matches Stony Brook competed in this week. She posted a season-high 23 kills against Toledo while tying her season best in digs with 21.
Calinda, who was named to the Harvard Invitational All-Tournament team, recorded 21 kills, 14 digs and four blocks against Harvard before tacking on 14 kills and a .312 hitting percentage in a sweep of Colgate. The 6'0'' swing hitter will lead the Seawolves against Hofstra on Tuesday before competing in the Columbia Invitational this weekend.
