Stony Brook's swimming and diving teams earned their first victories of the season, defeating St. Francis (N.Y.). The men's team won 119-85, while the women's team was victorious, 154-50.
Five different men and six different women each won an event for the Seawolves, who competed in their second event of the season. Stony Brook swept the relay events.
Junior Zachary Good (Columbus, Ind.) swam a season-best in the 500 free (5:03.90). Junior Daniel Kim (Douglaston, N.Y.) recorded a 10:29.49 in the 1000 free. In the 100 fly, freshman Derek Woodhead (Stony Brook, N.Y.) swam a 54.35, a team-best this season.
Junior Mark Anderson (Poughkeepsie, N.Y.) completed the 100 breast in 1:02.40.
On the women's side, freshman Allison Zelnick (Troy, Ohio) continued her impressive season with a 54.42 in the 100 fly. Sophomore Christie Bodden (Panama City, Panama) swam a season-best in the 100 back (1:00.17).
Stony Brook opens its home schedule next Saturday against Massachusetts at University Pool at 1:00 p.m.
