About the Game: Stony Brook plays its fourth game in less than a week Thursday as it visits Fairleigh Dickinson University. This just the fourth all-time meeting between two teams that are separated by less than 70 miles. Stony Brook trails in the series 2-1 and is 0-2 in Hackensack, N.J. A victory would give head coach Steve Pikiell his sixth three-game winning streak at Stony Brook.

Scouting Fairleigh Dickinson: The Knights are coming off an 11-21 campaign in 2009-10 under head coach Greg Vetrone. The team returns seven lettermen, including three starters, from last season's squad. This includes pre- season All-NEC point guard Mike Scott, who averaged 12.6 points and 5.4 assists last season. Despite the Knights' unassuming overall record, the team played very well in the NEC, finishing 10-8 and falling just two points short of making the tournament semifinals.

Last Time Out: Stony Brook overcame a 3:45 a.m. wakeup call, a raucous Monmouth crowd and an 11-point second-half deficit to knock off the Hawks 51-49 in the 6 a.m. game of the ESPN College Hoops Tip-Off Marathon. The Seawolves were behind most of the game, but chipped away at Monmouth's lead and capitalized on strong defense and last-minute points from Bryan Dougher and Chris Martin to win.

Last Time vs. FDU: These two teams last met on Dec. 15, 2007 in Hackensack, as the Knights held off a late Stony Brook rally to win 74-71. Only one person on either team who played in that game is still active - FDU senior forward John Galvin, who had 12 points, nine rebounds and four blocks.
