Stony Brook (4-7) enters this weekend's play off a second-place finish at the Rose Hill Classic. GMU is led by 2009 CAA Player of the Year Holley Goode, who leads the team with 100 kills.
The Towson Tigers have lost three straight after winning their first 10 matches. The 10-0 start was the best in program history. Under first-year head coach Bruce Atkinson, the Tigers were picked to finish seven in the CAA preseason poll and are led by junior Susan Ganson, who leads the conference in attack percentage (.384).
American enters this weekend's play at 8-2, its best start since 2001. The Eagles are led by senior Magdalena Tekiel, who ranks first in the Patriot League in hitting percentage (.353), kills (3.66 kps) and aces (0.50 aps). American currently leads the Patriot League in hitting percentage, opponent hitting percentage, assists, kills, blocks and service aces.
