Sophomore forward Leonardo Fernandes has been named the Simplex Grinnell Stony Brook Athlete of the Week. The North Babylon, N.Y., native scored seven points on three goals and one assist to pace the Seawolves to a pair of victories last week.

Fernandes scored a goal and posted an assist in last Friday's 4-2 win over Central Connecticut. He followed that up with a pair of goals, including the game-winner in the 74th minute on a free kick, in a 2-1 victory over Bryant.

Fernandes has now earned three honors for last week's performance. On Monday, he was named the America East Player of the Week and was selected to the College Soccer News National Team of the Week.
