Senior Kelsey Sullivan (Hamilton, Va.), of the Stony Brook University volleyball team, has been named America East Setter of the Week, the conference office announced on Monday. Sullivan led the Seawolves to sweeps of LIU and Providence last week.
Sullivan averaged 12.67 assists for the week as she guided the Seawolves to their top two hitting percentages of the season. SBU hit a then season-high .337 against LIU and then broke that mark with a .356 attack percentage against Providence on Sunday.
Sullivan had 43 assists against the Friars after totaling 33 against LIU. Winners of three in a row, the Seawolves hit .346 as a team last week.
Stony Brook returns to action on Saturday, hosting Providence at Pritchard Gymnasium. First serve is set for 1 p.m.
