In search of its fourth straight win, the Stony Brook University volleyball team continues America East play with a match-up against the UMBC Retrievers on Saturday at Pritchard Gymnasium. First serve is set for 1 p.m.

The Stony Brook University volleyball team hit a season-high .356 on its way to a third straight win, a 3-0 (25-16, 25-15, 25-22) triumph over the Providence Friars on Sunday afternoon at Pritchard Gymnasium. Sophomore Evann Slaughter led the Seawolves with 14 kills.
Slaughter hit .429 and had three service aces while senior Alicia Nelson chipped in with 12 kills and 10 digs. Freshman Taylor Gillie tied a career-high with nine kills on a .533 attack percentage.
Senior Kelsey Sullivan orchestrated the offense and finished with 43 assists. Freshman Laura Hathaway led Stony Brook with 16 digs.

Stony Brook (11-9, 4-2 AE) is in third place in the conference standings, a game behind New Hampshire and Albany who are tied for first place at 5-1 ... Sullivan was named America East Setter of the Week on Monday after leading the Seawolves to their top two hitting percentages of the season last week ... Sullivan had 33 assists as SBU hit a then season-high .337 against LIU ... Stony Brook then broke that mark with the .356 hitting percentage against the Friars ... SBU tied a season-high in total blocks (12.0) and block assists (20) against LIU.

UMBC will be playing for the first time since sweeping Providence last Friday. The victory snapped a three-match losing streak.
The Retrievers lead the conference in opponent hitting percentage (.151) and blocks per set (2.36). Katie Kelly is third in the America East with a .289 hitting percentage.
Stony Brook rallied for a 3-2 victory over the Retrievers in the first meeting between the teams this season.
