About the Game: The Seawolves begin the last week of the regular season with a road game against the Hartford Hawks with playoff positioning on the line. The two teams are tied for fifth place in America East. A Seawolves win will ensure that they will finish no lower than fifth. An Albany win over UMBC tonight will ensure that SBU cannot finish higher than fifth. This is the 23rd all-time meeting between these two teams, and the Hawks lead 13-9, but the Seawolves have won five straight games. SBU is 3-6 all-time at Hartford and has allowed only 44 and 40 points in its last two trips there.

Scouting Hartford: The Hawks were 4-2 in the conference on Jan. 22 and coming off a big win over Boston University, but they are just 2-6 since and have topped the 60-point mark just twice. Nonetheless, with a strong finish, Hartford could finish fifth with the conference tournament on its home floor. Most recently, the Hawks knocked off second-place Maine on Feb. 10 and then just won at UMBC last Saturday. The Hawks have been heavily reliant on three-point shooting. 49 percent of their field goal attempts and 43 percent of their points are coming from behind the arc.

Last Time Out: Stony Brook lost at home to Manhattan in a heartbreaker 64-63 in overtime despite a double-digit second-half lead. The Seawolves had chances to put away the Jaspers, but Manhattan used 3-point shooting to climb back into the game and then SBU was only 3-for-10 from the free throw line in the second half. Marcus Rouse led the Seawolves with 15 points.

Last Time vs. Hartford: The Seawolves had their fewest points allowed to an opponent in almost two decades when they gave up only 35 to the Hawks in a 69-35 win on Jan. 29. Bryan Dougher and Leonard Hayes each had 15 points to lead the Seawolves. Hartford shot 24 percent for the game and was 2-for-22 from 3-point range.
