Stony Brook's women's tennis team fell to the No. 28 Yale Bulldogs, 6-1, on Sunday at Cullman-Heyman Tennis Center. It was the second straight loss for the Seawolves, who are now 5-2.
Yale jumped to a 1-0 lead, winning all three doubles matches. The Bulldogs then won the first two singles matches off the court before sophomore Nini Lagvilava (Tbilisi, Georgia) won 7-5, 6-1 at the No. 1 position.
But Yale won the final three singles matches to earn its sixth straight win. Stony Brook returns to action on Monday, March 14, traveling to take on Northern Iowa in West Point, N.Y.
