Stony Brook to host 2011 Homerun Softball Showcase Camp

Stony Brook, N.Y. - Stony Brook University will host the 2011 Homerun Softball Showcase Training Camp on October 10 at University Field from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Open to grades 7-12, the clinic is designed for campers to interact and learn from some of the top collegiate head and assistant coaches on the East Coast. 

Campers will have the rare opportunity to get to know NCAA coaches and for the coaches to get to know them. The camp will include a warm up, followed by a progression on defense which includes glove work, footwork, throwing and position play for infielders and outfielders. Pitchers and catchers will be separated into their own groups to work closely with coaches on mechanics and individual skills. The camp will also include a hitting clinic, during which campers will rotate to different stations, all the while hearing the coaches talk about their philosophies and their favorite hitting drills.

The 2011 Homerun Softball Showcase Training Camp will include the following head and assistant coaches:
