The Stony Brook University volleyball team plays its final non-conference home match of the season on Wednesday, matching up against Fordham at Pritchard Gymnasium. First serve is set for 7 p.m.

Alicia Nelson tallied 16 kills as Stony Brook rallied from a two-set deficit to knock off Coppin State, 3-2 (23-25, 18-25, 25-22, 25-22, 15-2) on Saturday at the Bucknell Invitational. Nelson then passed 1,000 career kills in the Seawolves 3-2 (25-19, 25-15, 20-25, 19-25, 15-10) win over the host Bison in the second match of the day.

Nelson is the eighth player in program history to record 1,000 kills ... Nelson and freshman Laura Hathaway (Warsaw, N.Y.) each were named to the Bucknell Invitational All-Tournament team ... Nelson has been named to the All-Tournament team in the last three tourneys the Seawolves have played ... Hathaway has been named to the All-Tournament team the last two weekends and was named the Co-Defensive Player of the Holiday Inn Express tournament ... she had a season-best 26 digs against Bucknell ... sophomore Greta Strenger (Woodbury, Minn.) tallied a season-high 13 kills in the win over Bucknell ... she had 11 kills and .a 381 hitting percentage in the victory over Coppin State.
Scouting the Rams
Fordham enters after dropping two of three matches at the Brown Invitational over the weekend. The Rams defeated Maryland Eastern-Shore in the final match of the Invitational to snap a four-match losing streak.
Brittany Daulton leads Fordham with 131 kills and 90 digs but is hitting just .191. This will be the second match against an America East opponent for the Rams, who were swept by Albany earlier in the season.
