Stony Brook men's basketball will be hosting a RED-OUT of Boston University Friday night as it takes on the Terriers in a nationally televised ESPNU game at 9 p.m.
The game has already SOLD-OUT to the general public, and tickets will only be available to students. Students wishing to come to the game should reserve their spots by picking up a bracelet at the end of Wednesday's men's basketball game vs. Hartford. Only students with a bracelet will be able to gain entry into Friday night's RED-OUT.
All fans are encouraged to wear red to support the Seawolves, who will be wearing their road red jerseys instead of their traditional home white jerseys.
For students coming to the game, there will be prizes. They will have the chance to win:
- A semester of FREE LAUNDRY SERVICE, courtesy of My Laundry Station
- A brand new 2012 MERCEDES BENZ C-Class, courtesy of Competition Auto Group
- $20,000, sponsored by Campus Dining
- And MUCH, MUCH MORE!
Students will also receive a newly designed "What's a Seawolf?" t-shirt courtesy of the Undergraduate Student Government at Stony Brook University.
For fans who can't make it to the game, the RED-OUT vs. BU will be televised nationally on ESPNU and streamed online at ESPN3. For Twitter users, @SB Athletics will have live coverage. Leading up to Friday and during the game, please use the hashtag #RED-OUT-BU.
The Seawolves and Terriers currently occupy first place in America East with matching 6-1 records. However, BU has already beaten Stony Brook this season, a 61-55 win in Boston on Jan. 14. Stony Brook will be looking to snap a five-game losing streak to the Terriers and exact revenge for last season's America East Championship final, which the Terriers won 54-52 to advance to the NCAA Tournament.
Both teams will be in action earlier in the week as the Seawolves host Hartford Wednesday and the Terriers host UMBC Tuesday.
