About the Game
Stony Brook plays the third of five consecutive road games on Friday at Maryland, looking to extend its best start in its Div. I history. The Seawolves are also looking for their sixth five-game winning streak in their Div. I history. This is only the second all-time meeting between the two teams, the first coming in 2000 at the Cole Field House. A win over the Terrapins will set a new program record for non-conference wins (9) since joining America East and earn the Seawolves their first-ever victory over an ACC team.

Scouting Maryland
The Terrapins have won nine straight games after dropping their season opener to Kentucky. This is Maryland’s longest winning streak since 2006. The team has played only one true road game this season and won at Northwestern as part of the ACC/Big Ten Challenge. The Terps have a very efficient offense, scoring over 75 points a game while shooting 49% from the field. They have been no slouch on defense, ranking fourth in the nation in field goal percentage defense (.338) and second in rebounding margin (+15.2). Sophomore 7-1 center Alex Len has been impressive, averaging 13.9 points and 8.8 rebounds this season while shooting 58% from the field. Transfer Dez Wells has made an immediate impact by averaging 12.2 points.

Last Time Out
Jameel Warney scored 17 points and connected with Tommy Brenton on a pair of critcal baskets late to lead the Seawolves to a 64-59 win at Sacred Heart to extend its winning streak to four games and snap a four-game slide vs. the Pioneers. Brenton finished with eight points, 11 rebounds, five assists and four steals in another incredible well-rounded effort. Anthony Jackson added 10 points for the Seawolves, who outrebounded Sacred Heart 48-32.
