TODAY'S MATCHUP: Looking to wrap up the regular season with momentum, Stony Brook hosts New Hampshire with the chance to match the program record for conference wins in a season. Stony Brook, after a four-win season in 2011, has executed the best one-year turnaround in the nation this season. SBU has eight more wins than last year. This is the 10th all-time matchup, and the Wildcats lead the series 7-2 and have won four straight. SBU’s last home win over UNH came on April 21, 2006.

LAST TIME OUT: Demmianne Cook scored six goals, and Claire Petersen had two goals and four assists as the Seawolves defeated Albany 16-5 to clinch the No. 2 seed in the America East Championship. Hannah Perruccio made seven saves in net as the five goals allowed were the second fewest given up to an America East opponent in program history.

PLAYOFF SCENARIOS: Stony Brook is locked into the No. 2 seed for the America East Championship, held May 3 & 5 at top-seed Boston University. What happens today will decide SBU’s semifinal opponent. A Seawolves win will knock UNH out of the playoffs and award the No. 3 seed to UMBC, setting up an SBU-UMBC semifinal. A loss to the Wildcats will set up a semifinal rematch as UNH will earn the No. 3 seed.

NCAA RANKINGS: A few Seawolves are challenging for NCAA statistical titles this season. Claire Petersen is the nation’s leader in points per game, averaging 6.14, and is second in assists per game at 3.57. Demmianne Cook leads the country in goals with 63 and is second in goals per game (3.94).

SENIOR DAY: Stony Brook is honoring its four outgoing seniors, who are playing in their final home game at LaValle Stadium today. Abby Ford, Jackie Gentile, Jackie Hughes and Matte Scully have been integral parts of the Seawolves over the last few years and will be missed. All four will graduate this May. Congratulations to all four of them and their families!

AMERICA EAST CHAMPIONSHIP: The 2012 America East Women's Lacrosse Championship takes place May 3 & 5 at No. 1 seed Boston University. The championship game will be televised on ESPN3, the first-ever national broadcast of the conference's final.

2012 NCAA WOMEN'S LACROSSE CHAMPIONSHIP AT STONY BROOK: Tickets to the 2012 NCAA Women's Lacrosse Championship at LaValle Stadium are now on sale through the Stony Brook Athletics Ticket Office.
