Stony Brook, N.Y. - Junior Nini Lagvilava (Tbilisi, Georgia), of the Stony Brook women's tennis team, has been named America East Tennis Player of the Week, the conference office announced on Tuesday.

Lagvilava won both of her matches last week in the Seawolves 5-2 victory over Fairfield. She combined with freshman Polina Movchan to win at No. 1 doubles before winning 7-5, 6-2 at No. 1 singles.

Lagvilava is 15-4 in singles play this season including 6-3 in dual matches, all of which have come at the No. 1 position.
