Last Time Out
The Seawolves (22-9) split a pair of games at Manhattan on Thursday, winning the opener, 9-0, before falling in the second game, 5-2. Freshman Allison Cukrov (Irvine, Calif.) tossed the third perfect game in Stony Brook’s Division I history (since 1999) in the 9-0 rout, retiring all 15 batters she faced, including 12 via strikeout. Stony Brook had not had a perfect game in nearly 11 years since Stephanie Poetzsch and Lindsey DeLaRosa threw back-to-back perfect games against Maryland-Eastern Shore on April 14, 2001. Cukrov’s 12 strikeouts tied a career high set on March 10 against Utah.

In the circle, Rachael Matreale has had a stellar season with 12 of the team's 13 wins to go along with a 2.13 ERA and 137 strikeouts in 138 innings.
