#Seawolves host their annual Special Olympics clinic

Dec. 8, 2013

Stony Brook, N.Y. - The Stony Brook men's basketball team hosted its fifth annual clinic for the Long Island chapter of Special Olympics New York on Sunday at Pritchard Gymnasium. Over 20 athletes participated in the clinic, which included station-by-station drills and a scrimmage, followed by lunch.

"Every year, this is one of our favorite days of the holiday season, and we look forward to hosting great athletes from Special Olympics," head coach Steve Pikiell said. "They bring a ton of energy, and our guys have a lot of fun teaching and playing basketball with them. We hope they enjoyed their visit and look forward to doing it again next year."
