Stony Brook, N.Y. - The Stony Brook softball team will wrap up its non-conference slate this week with home games against Seton Hall on Wednesday and Iona on Thursday. First pitch for Wednesday's doubleheader is set for 2 p.m.
Seton Hall
The Pirates enter with a 19-26 overall record after routing St. Peter's by a score of 16-0 yesterday. Maria Deluca leads the team with a .353 average and 33 RBI. Danielle Destaso owns a team-best eight home runs, while Yasmin Harrell has swiped a team-high 29 bases. Destaso is also the team's No. 1 pitcher with a 14-13 record, a 3.91 ERA and 160 strikeouts in 168.1 innings.
Iona
The three-time defending MAAC champions have struggled to a 12-35 record so far this season. Sarah Schultz is the only player hitting above the .300 mark with a .311 average, seven homers and 25 RBI. Carly Argyle leads the team with 10 wins in the circle, while posting a 3.93 ERA and 120 strikeouts in 178 innings pitched.
