New Haven, Conn. -- The Stony Brook volleyball team will look to end the 2014 season on a high note Tuesday at Yale. Opening serve is set for 5 p.m. The match will be the last in a Seawolves uniform for seniors Hannah Dolan, Taylor Gillie and Evann Slaughter.

Junior Melissa Rigo recorded a match-high 15 kills to go along with 10 digs, but No. 4 Stony Brook (17-14, 7-5 America East) fell to top seed and eventual champion New Hampshire, 3-1, Friday night in an America East semifinal match at Lundolm Gymnasium. Junior Nicole Vogel led the Seawolves with 29 assists and 16 digs, and redshirt junior Kathy Fletcher finished with 12 kills and 10 digs. SBU rallied from a 22-16 deficit in the first set, scoring nine of the final 10 points of the stanza for a 25-23 win. However, New Hampshire hit .333 over the next three frames and won.
Scouting Yale
Yale (17-7, 12-2 Ivy League) swept rival Harvard Friday night to earn its fourth straight Ivy League title and NCAA Tournament bid. Senior Mollie Rogers leads the Bulldogs in kills (4.31), and classmate Maddie Rudnick is tops in digs (4.14).
